My Review:

Fantastic book for the first in the series. If you’ve been reading my blog for sometime, you know that a witch coming into her power is my catnip, so, of course, I had to try out this series. I was not disappointed.

H.Y. Hanna begins developing the characters very nicely. I love how she portrays the vampire guardian, and he made me chuckle a couple of times. And I’m looking forward to getting to know the owner of the chocolate store, her family, and Caitlyn’s cousin even more.

As for the love interest, Lord Fitzroy, seemed like a very good partner for Caitlyn. He holds back, where she rushes into situations. And his for love animals is made apparent, which I think is a great trait in anyone.nI liked that Hanna didn’t over use the trope, I like him, but I’m not good enough, so I hate him, but I really still like him. Now if she introduces a love triangle, we’ll see how I continue to feel about Lord Fitzroy.

The way Hanna doesn’t resolve everything, except the murders,  just entices the read to get book two, Witch Chocolate Fudge, to see how the story continues. This is how most cozy mysteries series (or book series in general) end their books, to keep you coming back. The mystery itself was well done, with the perfect amount of false clues.

I will definitely be reading the next book, Witch Chocolate Fudge.
